Arcadiamon (Rookie) is a Mysterious Beast Digimon. It is a cursed Digimon artificially created based on the data of various Digimon. Its nature is to digivolve by absorbing its opponent's data, but it's not clear if it possesses any sense of self. Because these details are unknown, it is currently being investigated.

Attacks

• Soul Absorption: Disassembles and absorbs the opponent's data.
• Erase Sickle: Erases the opponent's configuration data.

Design

Arcadiamon's design may also come from the concept of the archdevil, as well as a play on the programming term.

Etymologies

Arkadimon (アルカディモン)

Official romanization given by the Digimon Reference Book and used in Japanese and some American English media. Some media differentiate it from its other levels by labelling this one as "(Child)" (成長期, Seichōki^?).

• (El:) Arkadia (Αρκαδία^?). A reference to Neo's desire to create a "New Utopia".

Arcadiamon

Official name given by the Digimon Encyclopedia and used in American English media. Some media differentiate it from its other levels by labelling this one as "(Rookie)".

Development

Arcadiamon (In-Training)'s design came from combining a "slimy, gross feeling" with a crustacean. The rest of its evolutionary line was created using the same two ideas as well. Arcadiamon (Mega) was designed by Ten'ya Yabuno.
