AncientWisemon is an Ancient Mutant Digimon. Possessing the attribute of "Steel", it is one of the Ten Legendary Warriors that saved the ancient Digital World. A Mega who existed only in the distant past, it is the wisest person in the Digital World. Due to the Akashic Records which record all of the excellent intellects of ancient times, it is said that there is nothing which AncientWisemon doesn't know. It is a sage that possesses the knowledge of the distant past, but can also forecast the distant future. Also, it is said that AncientWisemon's mirror body is connected to the spirit world. Its abilities were later passed on to the "Mutant Digimon".^[1]

Attacks

Laplace no Ma (ラプラスの魔, Rapurasu no Ma^?, lit. "Laplace's Demon"): Calculates the coordinates to the spirit world with ultimate wisdom, and imprisons the opponent there for an eternity.
Elder Sign: Summons the ultimate evil god from the spirit world.

AncientWisemon is #279, and is a Mega-level, MP-type, Machine-species Digimon with a resistance to the Fire and Earth elements and a weakness to the Thunder element. It possesses the God Eye, Skill Master, Healing Wave, and Digimon Professor traits, and it has the special skill Dig.

It dwells in the Wizard Temple. When defeated, it can drop the debug plate for AncientWisemon or the Spirit of Steel.

AncientWisemon digivolves from Wisemon. In order to digivolve into AncientWisemon, your Digimon must be at least level 50 with 5 aptitude, but only once you have revived AncientWisemon and input the Spirit of Steel.

Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars Red and Blue

AncientWisemon can be digifused during battle from Wisemon, SuperStarmon, Garbagemon, and Shurimon, and will attack with "Laplace no Ma". It can also be formed from a DigiMelody. It can digifuse to Susanoomon with AncientKazemon, AncientMegatheriummon, AncientMermaidmon, and AncientVolcanomon, and to Baihumon with SaberLeomon, Vikemon, and Gatomon.
