AncientBeetlemon is an Ancient Insect Digimon. Possessing the attribute of "Thunder", it is one of the Ten Legendary Warriors that saved the ancient Digital World. A Mega who existed only in the distant past, its appearance is fused from many insects such as the Rhinoceros beetle and Stag beetle. Its shell has a hardness rivaling that of Chrome Digizoid, so the falx on both of its arms can cut through anything, and it can easily lift up objects hundreds of times its own weight. Its abilities were later passed on to the "Insect Digimon".

• Tera Blaster: Attacks with a super-electrical discharge with a thousand times the power of "Mega Electro Shocker".

Design

AncientBeetlemon is a chimeric Digimon whose upper body is a humanoid Rhinoceros beetle (Trypoxylus dichotomus) covered in a blue and yellow armor-like exoskeleton with spikes on its shoulders and large falx at the end of its arms. Its head is eyeless and has a yellow crest on top and a long horn that forks at the tip. It has six pairs of yellow wings on its back. It's lower body is a red Stag beetle (Lucanus cervus) with six eyes. It has six legs with black thighs. It has white muscle in the torso, the brachium of its arms and its legs.

Digimon Story: Lost Evolution

AncientBeetlemon is #282, and is a Mega-level, Attacker-class, Insect-species Digimon with a resistance to the Thunder element and a weakness to the Fire element. It possesses the Confusion Barrier, Health 200%, Stun Barrier, and Digimon Professor traits, and it has the special skill Tree Cut.

It dwells on Proxy Island. When defeated, it can drop the debug plate for AncientBeetmon.

AncientBeetlemon digivolves from MegaKabuterimon (Red). In order to digivolve into AncientBeetlemon, your Digimon must be at least level 47, but only once you have revived AncientBeetlemon, befriended MegaKabuterimon and Okuwamon, and input the Spirit of Thunder.

It can be hatched from the Kabuto DigiEgg.

Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars Red and Blue

AncientBeetlemon can be digifused during battle from MegaKabuterimon (Red), SkullScorpionmon, Okuwamon, and Flymon, and will attack with "Tera Blaster". It can also be formed from a DigiMelody. It can digifuse to Susanoomon with AncientGreymon, AncientGarurumon, AncientSphinxmon, and AncientTroiamon.
