When Valkyrimon tests Tai, Agumon is dedigivolved back into Botamon whom Tai doesn't recognize as his partner. When the two face off against three Allomon, Tai's courage to protect Botamon causes the Crest of Courage to appear in front of Botamon, allowing him to summon a manifestation of Greymon to destroy the three enemy Digimon. Greymon[]
Greymon is Agumon's Champion form.
After he is injured by Argomon's Champion form, Agumon digivolves to Greymon and then defeats Argomon, which stops the trains from colliding. Tokyo Digital Crisis
When a swarm of Dokugumon attack Valdurmon's castle, Agumon digivolves to Greymon and destroys them all with one attack after Birdramon frees himself, Tai and Sora from the spiders' webs. However, the appearance of a swarm of Green Coredramon forces them to hide rather than continue the fight. The Holy Digimon
During the fight for the water source once protected by Nohemon, Greymon fights Tyrannomon and Gaossmon while Ikkakumon faces off against Minidekachimon and Atamadekachimon. With Tai's help, Nohemon is able to use one of his arrows fired from on top of Greymon's head to defeat Tyrannomon, causing an enraged Gaossmon to attack Greymon directly. However, having experienced a similar attack from Gaossmon earlier, Greymon blocks it with his horn and then uses his tail to fling the little Digimon into Atamadekachimon's mouth, sending both Gaossmon and Minidekachimon down Atamadekachimon's throat, defeating it and ending the battle. Agumon digivolves to Greymon while rescuing Cutemon from six Giromon. No match for the six Ultimates, Greymon digivolves into MetalGreymon whose fight ends when the intervention of Rebellimon destroys five of the evil Digimon and drives the last one away. When Giromon returns for revenge against Rebellimon with the help of three Boarmon, Greymon intervenes, fighting two of the evil Armor Digimon while Rebellimon destroys the third. When one corners Tai, Greymon throws the one fighting him off of himself and into the last Boarmon, causing one to inadvertently destroy the other with its own attack. As the last one charges at him, Greymon waits before countering Boarmon's attack with his Mega Flame. After a brief contest between Greymon and Boarmon's flame attacks, Greymon overpowers and blasts Boarmon, destroying it. While chasing the DigiDestined into Negamon's white void, Agumon digivolves into Greymon to face the four attacking Champion Argomon. After confusing a swarm of attacking Kuwagamon using mirror rocks, Greymon digivolves into MetalGreymon and destroys the evil insect Digimon as they charge at him. The Kings of the Insects Clash
While chasing after Velgemon and the captive T.K. Takaishi, Greymon digivolves into MetalGreymon to fight the evil Digimon, carrying WereGarurumon and Matt Ishida on his back as they chase after him. MetalGreymon manages to get both WereGarurumon and Matt onto Velgemon and withstands the evil Digimon's attacks long enough for Matt to rescue T.K. With WereGarurumon hitching a ride on MetalGreymon's missiles, the two Ultimates attack Velgemon together, but he blocks their attacks and knocks them from the air, although MetalGreymon is able to cushion everyone's fall. As Velgemon recaptures T.K. and prepares to crush everyone else with his ultimate attack, T.K.'s distress and anger causes Angemon to break free of his binds and rescue the group. After locating the castle where SkullKnightmon has taken Poyomon's Digi-Egg, Tai, Matt, T.K. and their Digimon come under attack by a Splashmon Darkness Mode 2 who is working for Devimon. However, the evil Digimon is able to evade MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon's attacks, eventually forcing WereGarurumon to dedigivolve back into Gabumon. While helping the Pomumon retake their home from Toropiamon and its Flymon, Agumon digivolves into MetalGreymon to fight the evil Ultimate alongside Birdramon. Upon reaching Toropiamon's lair, MetalGreymon instantly destroys most of the Flymon with his Giga Storm, but he is attacked and quickly overpowered by Toropiamon who turns both Tai and MetalGreymon into fruit. Sora manages to free Tai and together they free MetalGreymon who joins Garudamon in battling the evil Ultimate Digimon. With Toropiamon still firing its Tropical Venom everywhere, Tai and Sora use their soccer skills to kick a fruit into its mouth followed by the Pomumon filling up Toropiamon's mouth with their Rapid Seed, clogging it. During Burpmon's attack on the Great Tree of Knowledge, Greymon digivolves into MetalGreymon in order to lift the enemy Digimon out of the Tree with the help of MegaKabuterimon and Garudamon. However, even as an Ultimate, his attacks have no effect on Burpmon who continues growing by absorbing data and their attacks. After the Tree's Mekanorimon, WereGarurumon and Zudomon overload Burpmon by feeding it junk data, MetalGreymon joins MegaKabuterimon in finishing it off by firing his Giga Storm down Burpmon's throat, overloading Burpmon to the point that it explodes. During the volcanic eruption on Junkmon's island, Agumon digivolves to MetalGreymon to help evacuate the Digimon that couldn't escape in time on their own. MetalGreymon Alterous Mode is a Mode Change of MetalGreymon.
After being cornered by Splashmon Darkness Mode 2 and covered by dark miasma, Tai's determination to free his partner allows MetalGreymon to overcome the miasma's poison and turn it into power resulting in his Mode Change to MetalGreymon Alterous Mode. As a result, the miasma that had covered him transforms into an arm cannon, his Positron Blaster, that MetalGreymon uses to destroy Splashmon. The Tide-Turning Update
After realizing that Groundramon's skin is impenetrable, Tai has MetalGreymon Mode Change into Alterous Mode and attack. MetalGreymon rams his Positron Blaster into the evil Digimon's mouth and then uses the prongs to force it open before firing. While MetalGreymon holds Groundramon's mouth open, Tai orders WereGarurumon Sagittarius Mode, Lillymon, Zudomon, Garudamon and MegaKabuterimon to all fire their attacks down his throat as well. As Groundramon becomes overwhelmed by the attacks of the Ultimate Digimon, MetalGreymon finishes him off by firing his Giga Destroyer down Groundramon's throat. To the New Continent
Under attack by Volcdramon, Agumon becomes MetalGreymon Alterous Mode whose attacks fail to harm the evil Ultimate who keeps receiving power boosts from the dark lightning in the area. While trying to rescue Kari from AxeKnightmon, MetalGreymon Mode Changes into Alterous Mode while evading AxeKnightmon's attacks. The attacks eventually knock MetalGreymon out of the air, but after AxeKnightmon begins breaking down into data to be used for Millenniummon's resurrection, Tai and MetalGreymon resume their charge. After Dandevimon devours Tai, MetalGreymon Alterous Mode angrily summons a red-colored manifestation of Machinedramon and goes on a rampage, during which he nearly kills Gabumon and Matt Ishida. After Machinedramon is cornered by Dandevimon, Tokomon temporarily uses his energy to psychically manifest as Angemon within Machinedramon's mind and appeal to his Agumon memories, managing to return him to his senses so that he transitions into a manifestation of WarGreymon instead. Using all of the data collected by Sakkakumon, the Vademon are later able to bring Machinedramon to life as a separate entity to face the DigiDestined. Machinedramon proves to be more than a match for the Ultimate Digimon while repeatedly firing into the Cloud Continent. Finally, after receiving a power boost from Angewomon and the Crest of Light, Tai sends the others away while he and WarGreymon face Machinedramon alone. After literally disarming Machinedramon, WarGreymon drills through his mouth and then blasts his cannons and head off with a Terra Force. The Vademon put Machinedramon's power cores into overload, sending his body with WarGreymon and Tai riding on the back flying to Cloud Continent where Machinedramon detonates, apparently killing Tai and WarGreymon. WarGreymon is one of Agumon's Mega forms.
In the past, WarGreymon was part of the Holy Digimon Army that fought against the Dark Digimon Army. The only survivors were six Digi-Eggs, implied to belong to Phoenixmon, MetalGarurumon, HerculesKabuterimon, WarGreymon, Rosemon, and Vikemon. The Holy Digimon After Phoenixmon, Rosemon, Vikemon and HerculesKabuterimon were destroyed, Searphimon and Ophanimon made WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon DNA Digivolve into Omnimon who destroyed ZeedMillennimmon with one strike. After Machinedramon is cornered by Dandevimon, Angemon's psychic manifestation is able to help Machinedramon return to his senses, after which he manifests as a specter of WarGreymon and destroys Dandevimon. MetalGreymon Alterous Mode digivolves to WarGreymon properly during the battle against Eaglemon. With one Terra Force, WarGreymon destroys Eaglemon, Vegiemon and several Allomon. While trying to rescue Kari from within AxeKnightmon, MetalGreymon digivolves into WarGreymon after Tai hears Kari calling out to him for help. WarGreymon arrives as Moon=Millenniummon is chasing Kari and WarGreymon drills through Moon=Millenniummon and chops off one of its heads, forcing it to retreat. WarGreymon battles against a Shakkoumon and nearly destroys him with a Terra Force. However, Garudamon intercepts the attack, forcing WarGreymon to cancel it out in order to stop his friend from being destroyed.
