Just as one is destroyed, another Deva appears, this time capturing Calumon and taking him back to the Digital World. What will the Tamers do now?

Synopsis[]

Juggernaut starts to destroy all of the Digimon, and even Taomon's shield can't protect the gang. Just when it seems like Yamaki will manage to permanently expel Digimon from the Real World, the strange child reveals himself to be the Monkey Deva Makuramon, and easily destroys Juggernaut and Hypnos, re-energizing the Digimon. Unfortunately, this includes Vikaralamon, who goes back on the offensive.

As Hypnos collapses around him, Yamaki watches in disbelief while the staff and scientists evacuate. As Henry's father tries to get the Tamers to safety, Takato decides not give up, sharing his strength with WarGrowlmon and allowing him to break free; Henry and Rika soon follow his example. The team finally overpowers Vikaralamon and destroys him.

However, Makuramon kidnaps Calumon in the chaos, fleeing for the Digital World. Leomon attempts to stop him, but is repelled by Makuramon and Zhuqiaomon, who injures Leomon. Jeri's concern for Leomon's injuries is rewarded with a Digivice, which she uses to heal him.

Though the day has been saved, the city is still ravaged, and the Deva have accomplished their main objective of recovering Calumon, so the Tamers decide to go after him to the Digital World. Meanwhile, Yamaki acknowledges that his mission to exterminate the Digimon has utterly failed.

Miscellaneous trivia

  • Originally, this episode was going to have a scene where one of the men working under Yamaki reveals Shibumi was already dead, however, "Kaze" was to be played at the end of the episode, and so the script had to be shorter than usual, and the scene was cut.[2]
