What's on your mind?
Not counting 20th Century Fox's Digimon movie compilation from the year 2000 that combines three movies into one, the CGI movie Digimon Monster X-Evolution, the Digimon Savers movie, Digimon Adventure Tri film series and the new Digimon Adventure movie from 2020 but I mean the first four Digimon Adventure films, the two Digimon Tamers films and the Digimon Frontier film Island of the Lost Digimon.

This is a question that has been bothering me. But how were digimon created. Like, I know they came from the net ocean and for appmon, the space between the real world and net ocean. But who created the net ocean? Who created the space between the real world and net ocean? Did the space between the net ocean and real world just pop up? Why do appmon take after apps? This are a lot of questions I have. Actually since they are made of data. Why did the data want to be creatures based of apps? Or monsters and humanoids that are based of stuff from the real world? How do you explain there existence!?
It seems there are three conflicting sequels to Season 1 that couldn't possibly be in continuity with one another.
First, there's Season 2. I think it's the official canon, though due to being poorly written and not quite as fun for me, I'm personally not acknowledging it as such anymore. But anyone who like it or doesn't mind it as much as me, it's official canon, and I will at least continue to acknowledge it when making speeches like this.
(Tri, which I'm definitely ignoring due to what I heard about it, I heard at least references Season 2 and is set before its epilogue)
Second, there's the Season 2 segment of the movie, with Kokomon. It cannot take place in Season 2 canon because Gatomon digivolves to Angewomon, which she lost the ability to do until such a time as Ken is a Digidestined, and their Digimon can Digivolve instead of Armor Digivolving, yet Veemon, Armadillomon, and Hawkmon only Armor Digivolve, but in the show they always default to Digivolving after Ken's redemption.
Though, I heard a CD drama would have it so that the Season 2 part of the movie IS official canon and Season 2 itself isn't. Actually, it could even fit into my headcanon if that's the case, even if it wasn't as enjoyable to me as the Diaboromon arc (besides, it's the part that explains Diaboromon's origins). Though not because of the CD drama, those are only in Japanese if I understand right and I go by the dubs.
Third, and this is probably the LEAST canon of the three, is the game. I forget its title, but it has it so that Machinedramon, of all villains, didn't actually die, but instead merged with some other Digimon and became Millenniumon, and revives the other dead villains - including Myotismon. This couldn't fit into Season 2 canon because at this time Myotismon would be inside Oikawa, and reviving him up front would remove him from Oikawa. (Though it COULD coexist with the movie I suppose)
Yet, some take all three as canon, even though they couldn't possibly all be at once. Which one do you go by as main canon first, if any?
Ken as the Digimon Emperor he enters that underwater darkness thing don't remember that it was called btw he finds Devimon who says that Ken should not play with The darkness and Ken doesn't listen and just takes Devimons data to put on Kimeramon but later in the show Kimeramon goes Rogue and doesn't listen on Ken is it Devimon who live now inside of Kimeramon and as he pleases?
Season 1 probably has the biggest rogues gallery of main villains.
We got Devimon, Etemon, Myotismon, MetalSeadramon, Puppetmon, Machinedramon, Piedmon, Apocalymon, and, if we count the movie, Diaboromon.
I'd say it's about a tie between Myotismon and Piedmon. Myotismon seemed the most sinister of them, and Piedmon is an evil clown.
Though Devimon comes close too, as a dark demon especially compared with how the episodes leading up to him were more cartoonish and a bit slower than the others. He only appears in five episodes, but that does make him all the more mysterious. MetalSeadramon was kinda cool, and Etemon and Puppetmon could be fun to have around, except after the goofy Puppetmon lasted the longest, it was almost refreshing to get to the more menacing Machinedramon, even though he only lasted two episodes, but his death was pretty awesome.
Apocalymon on the other hand, despite being the "ultimate evil" and the overarching antagonist of the season, maybe coz he was killed so early into his second appearance, he almost felt more minor than he really was. But he is a combination of a lot of the previous villains (and even uses their attacks), and also a mix of dark and sinister, and slightly comical (which I heard was to tone down how dark or frightening he would be otherwise).
Rewatching Season 1 highlights lately, I forgot how psycho Puppetmon, Machinedramon, and Piedmon are. We know all of them want the Digidestined dead, and I remembered how evil Myotismon was for sure, but Puppetmon kills one of his own guys just for asking to come with him, and Machinedramon and Piedmon both wanted the Digidestined's deaths to be painful. (And btw I love how Season 1's not shy about destroying its villains up front, I always respect that in a (mostly) kid-friendly show)

Note: This question is only for those who go by the dub instead of the Japanese version, in which the CD drama doesn't take place and both movies possibly do.
I did before, but now I'm not 100% sure. Maybe Runaway Locomon, but Battle of Adventurers is a bit shaky because it would take place on summer vacation between Digital Beauty and Impmon's Last Stand, where the beginning of Impmon's Last Stand implies that the episodes were shortly back to back, with discussing the Devas as if they hadn't had a break from thinking about them or fighting them.
It's hard to say because the first two segments of the original movie are canon to the original series due to being referenced in both seasons (with the Parrotmon attack being mistaken for a terrorist bombing in Season 1, and reference to Willis, Omnimon, and Diaboromon in Season 2), but the third is non-canon due to plot holes.
Some have also noted the Japanese text in the Digimon Analyzer where it was English in the others, being a plot hole.
Others have noted Beelzemon's motorcycle, but we could say it was either a regular motorcycle or was made by the Monster Makers. On a side note, some people debated with me as to whether the ark that took Takato and Henry to the Land of the Sovereign was Grani, but that's not true, it was a different arc, Grani was first created by the Monster Makers to get the tamers back to Earth, and returned for the D-Reaper fight. You'd better believe I know what I'm talking about, I wrote transcripts of all episodes.
I wanted to go by Runaway Locomon as canon coz it confirms the tamers reunite with their Digimon and return them to Earth (unlike the CD drama), but that was already heavily implied by the final episode and is easy enough to headcanon unless you go by the CD drama, which btw doesn't even have an English version so it can't be canon to the dub.
Again, if you're a purist to the Japanese version and go by the CD drama instead of the movies, this question's not for you. Not judging, I just want to hear it from people who don't have that as a factor in their decision.
If Digivolution goes wrong several Digimon series have a situation in which the protagonists get into desperate situations.

Takuya feels like 10 legendary warriors aren’t enough to save the world.
Like the title says: assuming that the CD Drama is the only canon sequel (and not the OVA), then if the Tamers do reunite with their Digimon in the Digital World thanks to Janyu's new Ark, can they bring their Digimon back to stay and live in the real world?
In other words, did the Juggernaut program have a one-time temporary effect, or is the effect permanent?
And if it is permanent, can Janyu create for the Tamers' Digimon some kind of protection against this effect (that destroyed the D-Reaper)?

If digimon live in a dataspace world and appmon in apps is there ever going to be a season with both and not only a episode?
